Our Mums
44Over here in UK, it is Mothering Sunday. A day where by we take a few extra moments to offer thanks, reflect and be extra pleasant and loving towards our mums. I have received lots of good wishes, texts and emails from friends to celebrate Our Day. I thought i would add my own affirmation to our mums.
Our Mums
Our mums may not be perfect,
may not have had the opportunities, openings we so freely take for granted,
Our mums may not have had the iphone, email, M3 BMW convertible, tumble drier and double fridge freezer,
Our mums may not have had the education, the choices we give our kids,
Yet, our mums travelled far, further than we will ever know,
They laid the foundation,
Gave us the best that they knew,
Our mums didn’t have the Personal Development Seminar, weekend Yoga and Health Rejuvenation Spa,
Didn’t have no fancy weekly manicure or visa gold express millionaire card,
Instead our mums had it all, the answers born through days, moments of calculating bread or fuel this week,
Panty hose or school dinner money this week,
Yet, our mothers had it all,
The quiet inner wisdom born from first hand account of niggers only, no blacks, Irish, dogs or Jews….
Yes, our mothers had it all
Have a Blessed Mothering Sunday
